FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

The things people ask us most. No runaround, no fine print.

The question we get most

Why not just vibe code it, or use something like Lovable?

Honestly? Tools like Lovable are great. They get an idea on screen fast, and for a prototype or a simple site, they may be all you need.

A community platform is a different animal. It holds your members' private information: who they are, what they share, how they're doing. Protecting that isn't optional. Privacy, consent and deleting data when someone asks all come with real legal responsibility. When something goes wrong, it can become a legal matter, with your name on it.

And the rules on what you keep, how long you keep it and what you have to tell people change at every state line. See the rules.

It's not what you see on the front end. It's what's behind it.

91%

of live vibe coded apps had at least one security hole when researchers audited 200 of them in 2026. About two out of three of the holes they found were rated high or critical.

layers of security and privacy guards on the backend of every platform we build, in areas like these.

Who can get in

Two step sign in, named people only, and access removed the same day someone leaves.

Every client walled off

Each platform gets its own database, and members can't reach each other's private data.

Data locked down

Encrypted in transit and at rest, with sensitive keys kept on the server, never in the app.

Sensitive views logged

Admin views, exports and consent changes all leave a record.

Members in control

Behavioral features stay off until a member opts in, and opting out takes effect right away.

No training on your data

Every vendor that touches member content has its training setting turned off.

Built on throwaway data

We build and test on practice data, never on your real members.

Backups you can trust

Backups on a schedule, and restores that have actually been tested.

The front end is what your members see. This is what keeps them safe.

Why it's not a weekend project

The rules are already written. And they change at every state line.

About 20 states now have a full consumer privacy law in effect, each with its own rules for what you collect, how long you keep it and what you have to tell people. Some only kick in once a business reaches a certain size. Some apply to everyone. Here are a few that land right on a community platform.

California

Say how long you keep it

Your privacy notice has to say how long you keep each kind of personal information. And you can't keep any of it longer than you reasonably need.

Washington

Health data needs its own yes

Health information counts even when it's inferred from how someone behaves. Collecting it takes a clear opt in, sharing it takes a separate one, and agreeing to your terms doesn't count. It covers businesses of any size, and people can sue.

Maryland

Only what's strictly necessary

Sensitive data can only be collected and used when it's strictly necessary for what the member asked for. Selling it is banned outright.

Illinois

Face and voice prints need a schedule

Capture face or voice prints and you need a public written policy for how long you keep them. They have to be destroyed once the purpose is done, or within 3 years of the person's last interaction, whichever comes first.

Every state

A leak means letters

Every state has a data breach law. If member data gets out, you have to tell the people affected, and some states give you as little as 30 days.

HIPAA

Outside HIPAA isn't outside the law

HIPAA covers health information held by doctors, clinics, health plans and the companies working for them. Most coaching communities sit outside it. That gap is exactly what laws like Washington's were written to close.

What we build in from day one

Your members trust you with the hard stuff. This is how you keep that promise, in every state they log in from.

  • A written retention schedule for every kind of data, spelled out in plain words in your privacy notice
  • A separate opt in for behavioral features, recorded with the date, and easy to take back
  • Deletion that reaches every table, every file and every backup
  • A record of every consent your members give
  • Privacy notices and policies drafted for where your members live, ready for your attorney to review
  • A breach plan written before there's ever a breach

This isn't legal advice. Which rules apply depends on your business and where your members live, and your attorney has the final word.

The basics

What exactly do you build?

Custom community platforms for coaches and anyone who brings people together. Your brand, your rules, your data, and an experience that fits each member from day one. Coaching, content and community live in one place, built around how you already work.

Do you build apps?

Not really. An app is one screen. We build the whole house behind it: a multilayered platform where members, coaches, your team and you each get their own walled off view, with strict privacy and security on every layer. If you want an app, it becomes the front door to your platform.

Can you replace my whole tech stack?

Yes. Marketing, email marketing, billing, personalized onboarding, a support center, video, community and your app can all live in one system, so you stop paying for tools that don't talk to each other. We can even run it all for you.

Can you host our videos?

Yes. Your sessions, lessons and replays live inside your platform, right where your members already are.

Who is it for?

Coaches and communities first. We also build for trades and home service teams, and for owners and investors who want to know how the people across their businesses are really doing.

How is this different from Kajabi, Skool or Mighty Networks?

They're solid tools, built to serve millions of creators the same way. We build one platform for your members only. Every member gets a path that fits them, you see who's thriving and who's drifting, and you own all of it.

See the full comparison →
Do I really own it?

Yes. The platform, the code and the data are yours. Nobody can change your price, your rules or your features out from under you.

Do I need to be technical?

Not at all. If you can run your business, you can run your platform. We handle the technical side.

Moving over

Can you move my community over from another platform?

Yes. Importing your community is an add on. We plan the move with you and bring your members and content over, step by step, so nobody gets lost on the way. Anthony Trucks moved DarkWork off Kajabi the same way.

Will my members get their own app?

They can, and the app is just the front door. Behind it sits the whole platform. Anthony's is live in the App Store and Google Play under his own name and brand.

How long does it take?

Most platforms are ready for your people in six weeks, counted from the day we have your assets and the documents we need from you. Week one is the foundations: strict security, privacy and behavioral integrations, the 16 layers of infrastructure every platform stands on. Weeks two to four are the build. Weeks five and six are testing and setting up your Mission Control. Connecting outside tools like your CRM, payments or calendar? Plan on eight weeks. Moving a community over from another platform adds one more week. See the timeline.

Members and their data

What is behavioral data, and is it creepy?

It just means paying attention to what people do, not only what they say. Did they show up? Did they finish the step? Have they gone quiet? Members are told what's measured and why, and behavioral features stay off until they opt in. The goal is simple: notice when someone needs you, before they disappear.

Is my members' information used to train AI?

No. It's never used to train anyone's models, and every vendor that touches member content has its training setting turned off.

Managed agents

Will virtual teammates replace my team?

No. They take the steady, repeat work so your people have time for the human work. Think of them as extra hands, not replacements.

Do members know when they're talking with a virtual teammate?

Always. And a real person is one tap away.

Can an agent do something without my OK?

Agents can research and draft on their own. Anything that sends, posts, pays or touches a member waits for your approval.

Working with us

What's your process?

We learn your business before we touch it. A deep dive into how it runs, then we map workflows, roles and outcomes, set objectives and research best practices, design around how people actually behave, and build in 16 layers of security. Only then do we build, import your community if you're moving over (that's an add on), launch with your people, and keep growing together.

See every step →
What does it cost?

Mapping your workflows starts at $5K, and a custom platform starts at $15K, with email marketing, video, support, feedback channels and Mission Control included. Integrations, managed agents and moving your community over are priced with your build. You own everything you pay for. See pricing.

What happens after launch?

We don't hand you the keys and disappear. Your platform grows with your business. We work with your team on new product launches and initiatives, recommend best practices along the way, keep everything running and manage your virtual teammates. You stay in control of what gets built.
